Dan is president and CEO of Wheels, Inc. He has over 20 years of experience at Wheels, having held leadership positions throughout the company as well as being president of its Canadian and Mexican subsidiaries.
Dan is chairman of the board and former president of the American Automobile Leasing Association (AALA), and represents the fleet industry on legislative and regulatory policy. An advocate for fleet safety issues, he also served eight years on the board of directors for the National Safety Council.
Prior to joining Wheels, Dan founded and sold a successful online restaurant supply company backed by the venture firm, Sequoia Capital. He was also part of the early management team at Onsale, a Kleiner Perkins funded startup that was acquired by Amazon.
Earlier in his career, Dan worked in systems development at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and environmental management for the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Dan graduated from Dartmouth College with a BS in engineering and earned his MBA at Stanford University. He is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
