A few weeks ago, a ransomware attack shut down the U.S.’s largest refined products pipeline, which supplies 45% of fuel consumed by the east coast. While the pipeline is back in service and fuel prices are expected to decrease in the hardest hit states like the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Virginia, fuel prices may start to increase elsewhere.
