When I talk with fleet leaders, the conversation often turns to how they can streamline the upfit process and deploy vehicles more efficiently. For many work fleets, a significant portion of their vehicles share similar requirements and don’t necessarily need to be built from scratch every time.

To help customers manage those common builds more efficiently, Wheels developed TradeFit™, a scalable approach designed to reduce the time, coordination, and complexity involved in ordering upfitted vehicles. Although some fleet applications still require specialized builds, TradeFit helps streamline the most common upfit needs while preserving flexibility where customization adds the most value.

These packages include essential high-quality components such as shelving, storage, racks, and safety equipment, which work together to deliver reliable performance over the full lifecycle of the vehicle.

Wheels recently helped one of our U.S.-based utility technology clients put the TradeFit model to work. The client needed to quickly align upfit requirements for ninety-one vehicles. Using TradeFit, the client received a quote within 30 minutes. By the end of the week, all vehicles were ordered, and each upfit was completed within 30 days after receiving the vehicle. Their team described the experience as so seamless they “forgot about it.”
