Battery Swapping Technology to Combat Range Anxiety
Using semi-solid state technology, the Chinese EV startup Nio, will offer a range of up to 1,000 kilometers using battery-swap technology. Because of the very large battery needed to accomplish this, the vehicle will be supported by “Power Swap” locations avoiding the time needed for charging.

BMW and Toyota Collaborate on Fuel Cell Powertrain Technology
In other advances for CO2 emission reduction technology, Toyota and BMW have committed to co-developing a third generation hydrogen-powered fuel cell system.
