Today the program includes an extensive nationwide network of 38,000 strategically-selected facilities offering a full scope of maintenance and repair services including tires, oil changes, brakes, glass, rentals and towing.<\/p>\n<p>Wheels has carefully grown the network over the years by selecting the right suppliers, monitoring their performance and building solid relationships with them in order to help clients achieve optimal fleet.\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cAn important part of the success of our Maintenance Assistance Program over the past 45 years has been the partnerships we\u2019ve built with our network maintenance providers.\u00a0The relationships are transparent, collaborative, and focused on delivering the best experience and value possible for our clients,\u201d said Brian Simek, Sr. Manager, Maintenance &amp; Mechanical Repair.<\/p>\n<p>Also integral to the program\u2019s success are the highly qualified advisors who approve and oversee work, handle supplier questions and provide accountability at national and local levels. Wheels\u2019 strong commitment to continuing education requires that all MAP technical advisors become ASE-certified. The majority of Wheels advisors have also achieved advanced certification, with more than 30 advisors holding Master Technician or Dual Master status (car and truck repairs). Eleven Wheels technicians hold World Class status (car, truck, and auto body repairs).\u00a0 Just 1% of U.S. automotive technicians \u2013 fewer than 2,000 \u2013 have achieved World Class status since the program began more than 30 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Wheels hosted an employee open house at its Des Plaines headquarters to showcase a variety of artifacts documenting MAP\u2019s history. \u201cWe\u2019ve come a long way since those days.
