Both had mobile workforces and different ways to manage and control spend.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The new subsidiary\u2019s approach centered on reimbursing mileage in travel and expenses at the IRS rate. While the main holding company offered a company provided vehicle and a fixed and variable rate (FAVR) reimbursement program, the acquisition also brought on cultural differences.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategy<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Diving into driver data, the appropriate mobility solution was determined based on the most cost-e\u001dective approach for each driver\u2019s unique situation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The fleet sought to bill back clients for mileage. The Wheels Mobile Assistant auto-logged trips for mileage and billing purposes, supported by customized reporting through FleetView\u2122. Wheels also integrated connected vehicle metrics within the healthcare subsidiary\u2019s data solution, enhancing efficiency and safety.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results+<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The healthcare fleet became a business unit within the consumer goods company\u2019s structure, yet retained unique vehicle policies, autonomous reporting and billing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The main holding company gained the needed managerial visibility and control of its new entity\u2019s vehicles while driving the annual mileage spend down.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"has-dark-green-color has-text-color wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>520 MY20 vehicles for drivers meeting mileage criteria<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Opportunity A consumer goods retailer acquired a large healthcare company.
