Participation:<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"> All team members attend their department\u2019s daily\u00a0huddle. They are led by the front-line associates\u00a0on a rotating\u00a0basis\u00a0and team leaders are present to provide support.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">2. Presentation<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">:\u00a0To create familiarity and establish understanding companywide, each daily huddle\u00a0gathers\u00a0around a performance tracking board. Each\u00a0board\u00a0features\u00a0the team name,\u00a0huddle time,\u00a0leader\u00a0schedule, metrics with visible goals, and countermeasure sheets to document problem-solving.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">3. Metrics: <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">The huddle metrics reflect the team\u2019s daily\u00a0performance against set goals and\u00a0are tracked over time to show trends.\u00a0The goals are\u00a0SMART:\u00a0Specific,\u00a0Measurable,\u00a0Attainable,\u00a0Relevant,\u00a0Time-bound.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">4. Method:<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0During each huddle, problems and effective countermeasures are documented.\u00a0 Countermeasures are actions taken to reduce or eliminate the root causes of problems that are\u00a0preventing the team from reaching their goals.\u00a0One\u00a0person is assigned to each countermeasure and is accountable for implementation of the action.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">5. Environment:<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0Huddles are\u00a0prompt\u2014started\u00a0on time; brief\u2014no more than 15 minutes;\u00a0local\u2014taking place\u00a0in the area where the work is done.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">Daily Huddle Example: Renewals Team\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p>During this huddle,\u00a0the\u00a0Renewal Specialists identify\u00a0vehicles they plan\u00a0to renew\u00a0each day, state by\u00a0state. This\u00a0opens\u00a0communication\u00a0channels and ensures the specialists are prioritizing the right vehicles to work on each day.\u00a0It also\u00a0ensures\u00a0vehicles\u00a0are\u00a0renewed prior to registration and any obstacles are identified early, keeping your\u00a0vehicles\u00a0legal.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">The daily huddle also has a high-level component, the estimated completion date. We use this metric to estimate when a request is slated for completion.
