The safety of our clients and drivers is our top priority; so when a hurricane strikes, Wheels takes all available precautions to mitigate impacts to our clients’ vehicles and drivers.

We proactively reach out to our suppliers in the affected areas to understand their response plans. You can expect Wheels to directly relay information in the following areas: Wheels call volume, roadside assistance, new vehicle orders and deliveries, fuel management, auction and repair, mail service, and driver safety tips.

Hurricane Laura

Last week, Hurricane Laura made landfall as a powerful Category 4 hurricane in Louisiana. According to media reports, 150 mph winds and more than 9 feet of storm surge knocked out power to hundreds of thousands and inundated the coastline. Our thoughts go out to all those affected.

We contine to assess if any of our vehicles, drivers and supplier partners have been impacted  So far we have confirmed that DMVs in Texas and Louisana are open, toll authories have resumed toll collection and no Wheels' vehicle has been damaged whether at a dealership, auction house or storage facility. We remain in close communication with our partners and will provide updates accordingly.
