One Wheels client was experiencing administrative problems after years of managing its own collision program.
The procedural and financial aspects of collision management were beginning to take a toll on the fleet staff, but the company was hesitant to pursue an outsourced solution.
The Wheels account team and collision and subrogation specialists worked closely with the client to build a program that would completely eliminate the client’s administrative burden by consolidating billing and streamlining data entry. The program also provided for real-time collision data at the client’s fingertips, consolidated with other fleet data to allow for fast and simple viewing of fleet expenses.
The company ultimately decided to outsource, joining the Wheels Collision Management Program and realizing $200 per-claim savings on administration (Wheels assumed responsibility for prompt accident reporting, handling of driver calls, repair authorization and payment, tows and rental administration) and $440 per claim reduction in direct expense. Driver satisfaction levels also significantly increased thanks to sweeping upgrade in service levels offered by our collision specialists.
