Because there are typically many people within an organization who require information about the fleet – such as cost projections, safety data or uptime statistics – it is essential that you have ready access to detailed, accurate information regarding your fleet. There are a number of ways you can assess how well your fleet is performing, including reporting, metrics and benchmarking. Wheels helps clients not just maintain control over their fleet program, but act upon the information we provide to continually improve fleet operations.
Our FleetView tool gives instant access to comprehensive data regarding all aspects of your fleet, including inventory details, driver information and detailed expense and transaction information. Reports can be created by simply selecting the desired fields for export to a spreadsheet, and information is organized to reflect each company’s organizational structure. This allows the fleet office to quickly respond to requests for information from all areas of your company. FleetView’s distributed access also allows clients to give authorized individuals access to their fleet data – limited by region, scope and functionality ifas desired. We provide an Account Manager who helps you analyze the wealth of fleet data available and take action to capitalize on the cost-saving and efficiency opportunities identified by that data.
To help clients set policy, and monitor and encourage compliance with that policy, we provide fleet policy benchmarking data across a variety of fleet types. We regularly survey a representative sample of fleets across leaders in a variety of industries, on topics including vehicle eligibility, personal use policy and replacement cycling. Rather than providing a standard set of benchmark data to all our clients, we have your Wheels Account Manager extract data relevant to your fleet and provide that information, along with analysis and recommendations. Once policy is established, we offer a broad range of exception reports to help you monitor compliance. These cover topics such as network usage, scheduled maintenance and premium fuel purchases. Through our Driver Communications tool, we give you the ability to customize automated e-mails sent in response to driver activity that exceeds thresholds you establish.
We also design a Performance Index in cooperation with each client, which we use to report on performance in those areas of greatest concern to the client. Clients may choose from over 150 metrics, and target performance levels are agreed upon for the selected topics. Each item is weighted based on its relative importance to you. Results are then measured against targets as well as benchmarks, so you always know how your fleet is performing in key areas at regular intervals throughout the year.
