When an Accident Management client is also on our Maintenance Assistance Program (MAP), additional knowledge is leveraged from maintenance repairs when making an accident repair decision and vice versa. All companies experience unexpected vehicle needs, although to varying degrees. Wheels offers several approaches to cost-effectively meet those needs and get drivers into vehicles and on the road as quickly as possible. We maintain a pool of popular vehicles with typical fleet options and strategically locate them across the country so they are immediately available to our clients. We also manage bailment pools on behalf of many clients, ordering the appropriate vehicles, issuing the necessary equipment purchase orders, communicating with the manufacturers and equipment companies to assure proper and timely release of information, and coordinating the delivery process. Immediate availability is particularly valuable in the case of upfit trucks, where downtime can be very costly and upfitting would otherwise delay the order-to-delivery process. Wheels also offers a rental program through which we make all arrangements for your drivers and provide discounted rates. For those cases where an out-of-stock purchase is determined to be the right approach, we maintain strong dealer relationships that allow us to negotiate the best price possible, and requested vehicles are often available within 48 hours.
