WheelsDirect Provides Great Perk for Drivers, Improved Resale for Fleet

During a quarterly Performance Index performed for one Wheels client, we noticed that resale performance had been slumping over a recent period. During subsequent discussions with the client, we also found out that its drivers had been beginning to wonder if more perks were available for their company vehicles.

Our Account Management team quickly addressed both situations. We diagnosed the cause of the poor resale performance was likely due to the fact that the client’s vehicles were not being offered to an upstream resale market. We also determined that, by offering off-lease vehicles to its drivers or other employees, the client would be able to both improve resale performance and increase driver and employee satisfaction by providing a convenient perk.

We worked with the client to implement WheelsDirect, our web-based program for sales to our clients’ drivers and other employees. We developed an optimal online quote policy and helped the client market the program to its entire driver and employee base.

Thanks to WheelsDirect, the client enjoyed a 29% increase in employee sales in its first year on the program, resale statistics improved by several thousand dollars, and driver and employee satisfaction scores increased.
