Clients ordering decaled vehicles via FleetView can now view pre-loaded graphic/decal information on the upfitting page, thereby allowing for decal packages to be applied to vehicle orders without the need for special instructions.

Decal information can be customized by vehicle type and geographic/branch location, ensuring that each vehicle you order is fitted with the appropriate decal package.

The early part of the New Year is a time when many clients enrolled on our Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) service elect to run MVR checks on their drivers.  Reviewing MVRs regularly can help you improve fleet safety – while at the same time reducing expenses and liability – by identifying potential problem drivers.

If you haven’t run MVR checks recently, if you are experiencing an influx of new drivers, or if you simply would like to perform a regular assessment of your drivers’ records, January may be a good time for you to run a new batch of MVR checks.

The FleetView report schedule gives fleets tools to help monitor activity and assist in making key strategic and tactical decisions. Based on the schedule, FleetView offers a number of reports we recommend reviewing in the month of January. Reports to run if you are on Wheels services

Claim Activity Detail: Use as required to monitor collision claim activity (e.g. weekly or monthly).

Premium Fuel Usage: Run twice yearly to identify users of premium fuel.

Fuel Velocity: Run this report monthly to help you track fuel card utilization, exceptions and expenses.

Oil Change Report: Run quarterly to identify vehicles overdue for oil changes.

Maintenance by Category: Run quarterly to spot trends in maintenance costs.

Enterprise Open Rental: Run monthly to monitor open rentals, costs and days.

Fleet management reports to run

1-Year Rental Projection: Run twice yearly or as required to support finance department.

Combined Billing: Run each month to audit and monitor expenses.

Depreciation Analysis: Run twice yearly to view final depreciation levels and make decisions on vehicle selection or reserve rate changes for the future.

Driver Name and Address: Run every other month to compare with your HR database for data quality purposes and to support driver mailings.

Rental Billing: Run three times a year to audit and monitor rental expenses.

Sold Unit Detail: Run twice yearly to assess remarketing results for vehicles that Wheels has sold.

Please keep in mind that January 6, 2012 will be the final order cutoff date in the U.S. and Canada for the 2012 Ford Escape.  Order banks for the 2013 Escape are scheduled to open on January 11.

It is important to note that all dates listed above are tentative and subject to change, sometimes with very little notice from the manufacturer.  In addition, some manufacturers do not allow will-try opportunities for orders they receive after the cutoff date. Therefore, it is extremely important that clients looking to acquire any models approaching cutoff submit orders as soon as possible.  We recommend you submit orders to Wheels at least two days prior to the cutoff date if possible, to account for processing time.
